For many of us, Labor Day weekend represents an opportunity to forget about the drudgeries of work and have a fun, extended weekend. Unfortunately, for more than a few of us, this means eating unhealthy food, being less than active, and perhaps even having a few (or several) too many adult beverages.

Instead of eating a bunch of junk, pack plenty of fresh fruit, veggies, healthy trail mix, clean protein, and plenty of water. Staying away from the normal Labor Day fare like burgers, hotdogs, and chips will serve you well.

Stay Active

Try to take a Labor Day hike. If you're at the beach, make yourself swim until you achieve a workout. Push yourself a little bit during this weekend to stay on top of your wellness.

Be a Designated Driver

Instead of partaking in countless beers, why not be the responsible one and ensure that others get home safely? You'll feel accomplished, and you'll be able to wake up early the next day hangover-free!
