Prenatal Chiropractic
Definition
Chiropractic care during pregnancy, with techniques tailored to a pregnant woman's body, to ease back, hip and neck pain and help the body adapt as its center of gravity shifts. Dr. Moe Abtahi at Family Chiropractic in Ramsey, NJ, recommends starting in the first trimester, with visits about once a month, then every two to three weeks in the second and third trimesters, and weekly in the last month. As with any care in pregnancy, tell your obstetrician or midwife.
