Chiropractic Adjustment

Definition

A small, precise movement applied to a joint of the spine (sometimes called a manipulation) to restore healthy motion where a joint has moved out of place through everyday activity or an injury. The chiropractor uses the hands or an instrument. Some adjustments make a sound like cracking your knuckles, which is gas being released from the joint, but at Family Chiropractic & Spinal Health Care Center in Ramsey, NJ, Dr. Moe Abtahi specializes in gentle techniques, and many of his adjustments involve no cracking at all.
