Sciatica
Definition
Pain or tingling in one or both legs caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back down through each leg. A herniated disc or a tight, swollen muscle are common culprits. Dr. Moe Abtahi treats sciatica at Family Chiropractic in Ramsey, NJ, with gentle spinal manipulation and soft tissue massage, aiming at the cause rather than masking the pain.
